Branding for largest art-house cinema of the Netherlands
LUX is the largest art-house cinema complex in the Netherlands and a cultural catalyst of the city of Nijmegen. The independent movie theater aims to inspire its visitors and to challenge them to look at the world differently.
The essence of cinema
When Silo was asked to develop a plan for positioning a second LUX location, we advised to redesign the entire LUX brand architecture. The result is a visual identity that embraces the essence of cinema – moving images.
Screen as frame
The logo encloses a transparent movie screen. In visual communication, it functions optimally as a frame for the beautiful (moving) visual material. The new identity was revealed during a retrospective with honorary guest Rutger Hauer.
